NORWAY ROUND2

Hello! and Happy Sunday to you all!

Just a short in-between post about my upcoming trip to Oslo, Norway!
And why would I be going to such a place? Well, there's a few skanky girls who live there...I guess I could go and see them... (You can read about my last trip to see them here)

OR

I COULD GO AND PARTY.

(Monica I stole this photo from your blog)

REALLY BLOODY EXCITED!!! And it's not just two skanky girls I get to see, but a WHOLE ARMY of girls and guys from all over! Ahh, it's actually going to be great for me to get OUT of London for a weekend and relax a bit! It will also be the first Gyaru meetup I've been to in a really long time, so hopefully I can still work it! (fingers crossed)

I shall blog again soon! (Probably on one of my days off) :D!

GGA's..thank you!

Hi guys! Just a short post to mention the GGA's!

I got a message from Lhouraii saying that I had been nominated for Best Hair Style in the upcoming "Gaijin Gyaru Awards" or "GGA's".

There's the video, so you can check out all the other nominees and see where to vote! To be honest, i'm rather surprised, as I tend to keep myself out of the Gal communities now (not saying that i'm quitting Gal, I just don't like to post in them anymore) so i'm surprised that people would think of me!

You're all really sweet, thank you! Vote for me if you wish! And good luck to everyone who's in the runnings!

simples

Hi everyone! Monday, bloody Monday, the start of a new week. Can you believe that it's nearly the end of January?? This year is going to fly by so fast, I don't know what to make of it!

I've been getting confused with the days of the week as i've been at work so much, even though today really did feel like a weekday as it was so much quieter and less busy than any of our weekend days (Friday-Sunday). Today, nearly everyone found out if they had been promoted or not (that's the literal way of explaining things without sounding confusing!). I mean, obviously I haven't worked at Cyberdog for very long so I don't really know the whole "political" side of things, but to quickly break the situation down;

Each area has a specialist, kind of like the "boss" of that area (of course, the managers are the "boss" of everything but these are people specifically assigned to take over this area - i.e. specialist) and then you get a "2nd" which I guess is like a deputy? So when the "boss" is not working, the "2nd" will be working instead.

So, anyway, current specialists and those who are not specialists found out today if they would be taking over a new area, or being "upgraded" (if you like) to a 2nd, or indeed specialist! It was exciting to hear what everyone would be doing, and congratulations! I've never really been in a position where you could get some kind of "promotion". Sure, at the hospital I was given way more things to do and such because I was reliable and more trusted than the others but I didn't really see it as a promotion, more as a few extra things added to my list. It's all a bit confusing, but nevertheless, as long as everyone is still happy with what they're doing, then that's great!

I guess I wanted to mention something that some people may have been wondering for a little while...Since the end of Hib, I have tried to not really post in the Gal Communites (lj, ricoche etc), not because I don't want to or am not interested anymore, but because of all the stuff that went down, I just kind of wanted to distance myself from it. I can tell you, not being in a Gal Circle and having frequent meets and seeing your friends on a regular basis is so weird! I think it's been, what...maybe like 6 months or something since it ended? It's been a quick 6 months, and it's also been a really nice 6 months too. I think i'm now a more relaxed person than I used to be, and my attitude has definitely calmed down. Yes I have said things in the past that have caused outrage and so on, but the majority of the time while Hib was still active, I wasn't the "horrible person" people made me out to be. I think it's the pressure of being a "leader" or "in charge", and I guess that can kind of go to your head. I definitely wasn't abusing my "role", but I think that because of the facade that I had, I was definitely misunderstood.

I think this break from the Gal Community for the past half a year has been a welcome change. If anything, i'm so different now! If anything, i'm more shy lol! I work all the time, and I don't even get much time to see Dec, Floz, Caryn and Georgie anymore, let alone Emmie and Lucie and Kei, and all the old Hib members! This is what I mean about how weird it is not being in a Circle. It kind of feels like a break up haha! Writing this was kind of due to the Gal Secrets post about UK Gals, and that the Hib logo was used as the photo. To be honest, the most active UK Gals in the scene right now are Lhouraii, Delight and Majikko girls! I think the New Year will be a good change, as I want to be able to meet some of the UK Gals (we haven't all met, contrary to popular belief) and see what they're up to!

On a lighter note, thank you to the person who posted the secret about my blog! I'm glad you enjoy reading it, and i'm glad you like the photo too! I'll definitely keep making posts! :D

Here's a photo, so not to bore you!
A corner shop (convenience store) selling lots of American candy and cereals! The window was much bigger but this is the only snap I got. No longer to overpriced Cyber Candy!

baby it's COLD outside

Hello! Im writing this entry whilst lying in bed feeling sorry for myself. I'm sick, how fantastic! It's the first time for me this Winter (I think of Winter as the last 2 months of the year) and it's rubbish!! I don't mind if i'm just sneezing (lol) because that I can deal with, but I seem to have accquired a very sore throat with huge tonsils (still not had them removed, but i've never had tonsilitis/been so ill that they should be taken out) and my head is really heavy and sore :( My body is so weak too, so I know getting uptrying to get up tomorrow morning will be FUN. I feel like a newborn baby, as my head is lolling about a lot which I kind of want it to stop as it's really painful each time I move it!

Besides me moaning about how frail and bedridden I am, i'm just making a quick post for you all. I went out with Dec today, and even though it's my day off, I ended up going into Cyberdog anyway because he needed some hairdye, and we sell Manic Panic there. I always seem to go to my job on my day off...and it's not like it's close to me either! When I was at the hospital, I never went near it when I was off, and it was only a 10/15 minute walk to the bustop and then a 15 minute bus ride away! Cyberdog is a 10 minute bus ride to the tube station and then a 45/50 minute tube ride away...how does that work? Lol. India, a girl who works in the XXX part of the store and who was also in my interview was walking in (also on her day off) as I was walking out haha. It's like all the people on the day off should work and the people working should go home! Here was my outfit for today (no make-up on as I did that on the tube....lol)

I didn't actually wear my hat in the end..lol, but I felt like the outfit was missing something so that's why I was *originally* going to wear it. It rained and was windy and generally disgusting outside so my hair had a choice of either down and straight or tied up

HAT: H&M
TOP: H&M
BELT: d.i.a.
JEANS: H&M
TAIL: OSAKA
BOOT COVERS/LEGWARMERS: d.i.a.

Until I wrote this, I didn't actually realise how much H&M I was wearing...I guess it goes to show you how good they are for plain clothes that you can jazz up with classy accessories! On the subject of clothes, I ordered a d.i.a. top a little while ago from someone online and it came yesterday as I was heading out to work! It's a "bell top" and although it's really nice and classic d.i.a., it's also rather tight, which makes me question the "FREE SIZE" label inside lol! I'm a little unsure about it, but I want to co-ord it with something!

Sorry for shitty webcam quality. My phone was charging and doesn't allow me to take photos if the battery is low :z At the end of the sleeves, it's really long around your hands, and the back is also, well, open! If I wear an amazing boob-clenching-together-bra then it looks EVEN BETTER ;D No pic of this i'm afraid....

After Cyberdog, we headed to our usual spot of Leicester Square/Picadilly Circus and went to Boots to pick up some make-up for me and some more hair dye for Dec. Outside were a few Japanese girls who STARED us into the store, and one even ran in after us to look at us! When we got inside, there stood a really classy Japanese Gyaru! She had super long ash blonde extensions, huge white and black furry legwarmers/boot covers and I think shorts too! (With tights). She also had a really cute bobble hat on and her mouth dropped open when we went past her lol! I regret not saying that she looked really cute and also "where did you get your legwamers/boot covers from" and they had gone by the time we had made our purchases :(

It's always really cool to see Japanese Gals in London and other foreign countries! I remember once in late 2008, and me, Dec and Caryn were sitting outside Trocadero in Picadilly Circus looking through egg and a whole TROUPE of about 30 Gals came past! All wearing Maison Gilfy bobble hats, shorts and ugg boots and heels. They were in awe to see us looking at egg and were tapping each other on the shoulder and pointing at us lol! We followed them through to China Town where they disappeared into a Chinese restaurant. Times like that are so cool!

We also headed to Purikura, although we didn't take any. When I went in last week after the shoot for Cyberdog, Sia was saying that I had to show her the photos when they were done, so I used this opportunity to do so. As I was typing the site, Dec announced to me "OH you're on the main page by the way"....the MAIN PAGE?? : O wth.

I actually look like I belong on top of the tree in what i'm  wearing haha!

I thought that by main page, I would be on there with a few other people, as there was the other day, but not by myself!!! Jeez. It's kind of cool though ;D To see me attempting to sell dresses (it's also me modelling the Ice Skirts, Power Sculpt Leggings (I think they're called) and Cyberdog long socks in pink), check out the website, Cyberdog.net. Speaking of Cyberdog, I was a bit unsure about some stuff at work and thankfully I managed to get some help from two really nice staff-chanmembers, and i'm really grateful! Thanks guys, you know who you are!

That's it for now, i'm going to wallow in how sick I am and see if I can make a trip downstairs to get some more hot Ribena.....

Thank goodness...

As promised...

So on Monday night I went out for a meal to the ever classic TGI Friday's. Kind of funny that I went on a Monday huh? I was just thinking and its kind of funny...I went to the Leicester Square one with my boyfriend, and it struck me that 2 years ago I went to that one for the first time when I first got into Gal and had just made HIBISCGYARU. I went back to the same one last year when I was more into gyaru, and ive just gone again now that I consider myself a fully fledged gal! And all around the same time! May/June! WEIRD!

Each Friday's is basically the same, loud decor and the same for the music, although the L.Sq restaurant had funny music that would either start slow and then resume to the correct beat and timing of the song, or the other way round and start of really fast. We listened to Fall Out Boy too slow and Beyonce way too fast...hmm...sort your DJ out! I used to go to Friday's in Kingston quite a lot for my friend's birthdays, which was fun. We would have £20 which we would spend as little as we could on food, and the rest on cocktails even though we were underage. And the nights we went when it wasn't someone's birthday, we would pretend it was just to get the free dessert! Wiiiild...not! haha! But I loved those times! I have to say though; their cocktails are pretty gorgeous, especially the Gremlin, so who wouldn't want to go all out and get ultimate size in everything?

My personal food favourites from there include anything with their fabulous Jack Daniels glaze, or side sauce. YUM! Although, it does get a little sickly after a while of dipping and stuff. NOW TO SHOW YOU SOME FOOD AND MAKE Y'ALL HUNGRY! But while looking back, im now really hungry too...gah!

Menu...and a slightly better photo of the Gremlin

FAB starter. Chicken strips with sesame Jack Daniels dipping sauce!

Main...Jack Daniels big burger mess of a thing...looks GROSS but was TASTY!

Going back to Cavewoman roots!

Oh, and this is funny; I asked our waiter (well..waitress lol) if I could take a photo..."Hi! I write a blog and I was wondering if I could take your photo : D"

Their uniform is cuuuuuute! They have lots of random pin badges and stuff! He didn't have as much as others, but aww! He said I have to fill out his satisfaction survey (what I used to get customers to do when I was a waitress) because he agreed to let me have a photo lol

On other things, I will be deco-ing my new phone once I get the upgrade! Im stuck at phone right now though....kind of half resting on either a new blackberry or something else...hmm!

Anna Sui style! (except for pink random stuff on bottom right....that as a free gift) I need to get lots more though! More nail varnish bottles, and more gems! I also got Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds for Gamecube haha! I started playing today and its so cool! You can do the same thing she does in the program; beat the shit out of them and then quickly stake them! Class! And it only cost me £5 : D

Ill be doing a mini review for fake tans soon!

IM BACK

Hellohellohello!
Guess who's back in the....okay ive returned..you get the point.
Im so sorry ive left you all alone for so long! But I have been sneakily reading other blogs and tweaking my own whilst ive been away. You may have noticed that my blog now has 3 columns and is slightly thinner than before, so you may get loooooong blog posts from me showing all the random crap that I fill them with.

My last blog post was a short outburst at the Gal Secrets, the Burn Book of the Western Gal Community. Its actually more like the part in Mean Girls when Regina gets so pissed (and slightly psychotic) and photocopies the book and literally throws it around the school. Gal Secrets is like the moment when all the students come out of the classrooms and read the pieces of paper. The part when they all turn into "jungle animals" is like when people comment about the secrets on the lj itself, or go round various websites etc etc and post their hate/whatever about the secrets. ANYWAY. DONE.

Saving for Japan is proving to be extremely difficult as my "boss" still has a mega problem with me refuses to admit that there is. I am desperately seeking a new job and its awful. No one is bloody interested! I did have a "fake" job interview thing last week, where I was "selected" for an interview, but turned up to find 40 other people waiting there and to be told that the "company" is looking to train "managers" in 8-10 months instead of the usual 3-5 years. Because that doesn't sound dodgy does it? They were selling the same bull to all of the people there. And I didn't get a call back. *sigh*. I even bought a smart new shirt for that interview!!! Nevermind.

Im thinking about doing a management course though. The lovely Shaka asked me where I see myelf in 10 years time, and it didn't take me long to think and say that I wanted to be in charge somewhere. I want to be working in, or have close relations with people in Japan, and working for/owning a media company. I want to be able to help younger girls (like my age and younger or older) be accepted in whichever style they choose to take through life, so basically, id like to be like a western Sifow. I want to be able to say that im able to manage a large group or company, so I might take a look online into management and business courses and see where it takes me! I hope ive finally found something that I can do with my life. Ive always struggled not knowing where I can go, or what I can do, so this is a big change and surprise for me. When everyone else went to University, I got 2 jobs and started earning money and not doing anything to do with the qualifications or results that I had gained. Languages come super easy to me, so my Japanese classes should be great and will definitely help out. I also know French, so bring on the world!

Ill share some photos with you from the past month or so :

Me and some Japanese girls dressed up to promote 25% off YO!Sushi. I asked them if I could take a photo with them in Japanese and were shocked to find that I wasn't Japanese! They said my pronounciation was spot on. NICE

Most of my Nail and deco pieces (theres more)

I decided to make some nails for last weekend's Gal Cir meet, so these were the things I used, and the plan I drew out for the nail design

The finished product....the lighting makes them look awful. And I lost one...great

Some buys..........

Yes, the weekend just gone was not only EUROVISION, it was also a Gal Cir meet, and when Monica Tang came to visit! Shes such a darling! She's written about meeting us in her blog, so go check it out! She says we're like sisters, which I toally agree! Myself, Niijii and Caryn all got along so well with her! We're the four brownies! Monica did such a cute braid on me, and taught me how to do one, so ive been practising like mad:

(The one Monica did for me)

She also makes me want to update my wardrobe! That girl has serious style! I definitely feel more mature meeting her! Bye bye random closet pieces! Hello MT inspired fashion!

I went out to dinner with my man to TGI's last night. We haven't seen each other in a while due to his University work, so I was really happy. Blog from this tomorrow!
