simples

Hi everyone! Monday, bloody Monday, the start of a new week. Can you believe that it's nearly the end of January?? This year is going to fly by so fast, I don't know what to make of it!

I've been getting confused with the days of the week as i've been at work so much, even though today really did feel like a weekday as it was so much quieter and less busy than any of our weekend days (Friday-Sunday). Today, nearly everyone found out if they had been promoted or not (that's the literal way of explaining things without sounding confusing!). I mean, obviously I haven't worked at Cyberdog for very long so I don't really know the whole "political" side of things, but to quickly break the situation down;

Each area has a specialist, kind of like the "boss" of that area (of course, the managers are the "boss" of everything but these are people specifically assigned to take over this area - i.e. specialist) and then you get a "2nd" which I guess is like a deputy? So when the "boss" is not working, the "2nd" will be working instead.

So, anyway, current specialists and those who are not specialists found out today if they would be taking over a new area, or being "upgraded" (if you like) to a 2nd, or indeed specialist! It was exciting to hear what everyone would be doing, and congratulations! I've never really been in a position where you could get some kind of "promotion". Sure, at the hospital I was given way more things to do and such because I was reliable and more trusted than the others but I didn't really see it as a promotion, more as a few extra things added to my list. It's all a bit confusing, but nevertheless, as long as everyone is still happy with what they're doing, then that's great!

I guess I wanted to mention something that some people may have been wondering for a little while...Since the end of Hib, I have tried to not really post in the Gal Communites (lj, ricoche etc), not because I don't want to or am not interested anymore, but because of all the stuff that went down, I just kind of wanted to distance myself from it. I can tell you, not being in a Gal Circle and having frequent meets and seeing your friends on a regular basis is so weird! I think it's been, what...maybe like 6 months or something since it ended? It's been a quick 6 months, and it's also been a really nice 6 months too. I think i'm now a more relaxed person than I used to be, and my attitude has definitely calmed down. Yes I have said things in the past that have caused outrage and so on, but the majority of the time while Hib was still active, I wasn't the "horrible person" people made me out to be. I think it's the pressure of being a "leader" or "in charge", and I guess that can kind of go to your head. I definitely wasn't abusing my "role", but I think that because of the facade that I had, I was definitely misunderstood.

I think this break from the Gal Community for the past half a year has been a welcome change. If anything, i'm so different now! If anything, i'm more shy lol! I work all the time, and I don't even get much time to see Dec, Floz, Caryn and Georgie anymore, let alone Emmie and Lucie and Kei, and all the old Hib members! This is what I mean about how weird it is not being in a Circle. It kind of feels like a break up haha! Writing this was kind of due to the Gal Secrets post about UK Gals, and that the Hib logo was used as the photo. To be honest, the most active UK Gals in the scene right now are Lhouraii, Delight and Majikko girls! I think the New Year will be a good change, as I want to be able to meet some of the UK Gals (we haven't all met, contrary to popular belief) and see what they're up to!

On a lighter note, thank you to the person who posted the secret about my blog! I'm glad you enjoy reading it, and i'm glad you like the photo too! I'll definitely keep making posts! :D

Here's a photo, so not to bore you!
A corner shop (convenience store) selling lots of American candy and cereals! The window was much bigger but this is the only snap I got. No longer to overpriced Cyber Candy!

I can't wait

Hello everyone! How are you all? It's the end of another week! Although I know some people class Sunday as the beginning of the week, as that's what they used to do in the olden days lol. My old, old Restaurant workplace used to do it :s

Today I had such a short and quick shift at work! Only 10am-2pm. Yeah, 4 hours isn't really anything but it feels even shorter when you finish at a time like 2pm! Everyone was like "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! NO FAIIIR" haha. We had Popi from the Brighton store come and help us today, although I didn't actually see her until I was going! I hope she did okay! Our Camden store is so much bigger, louder and generally much busier than the Brighton branch, but she's fabulous so i'm sure she did fine :D

I'm really hoping that I padd my probation at the end of February! So far I think i've been doing a good enough job, but I guess I just have to wait and see! It would kind of suck to be told that they didn't want to keep me on after i've gotten used to the surroundings and getting on so well with everyone :( I still need to go out for a drink or something with a few people, as I want to get to know them better! Because of the "no-talking" rule at work, everyone is always dying to chat and talk about so much stuff! It will be nice to have a get-together after work sometime! *hint to those of you at work that may read this :p*

Eliana sent me her photos from the Art Exhibiton! And here are some for you to see:

L-R: Claudia, Me, Ryo

Claudia

Ryo
Not loads of photos but at least a few more to save to my computer! Of course, I still really want to see Ryo's photos! :p This week has also seen the arrival of my mail! At bloody last! Some stuff I ordered way before Christmas and just aftert has started to show up, which is great. I ordered some jeans from a Japanese store on Rakuten and they came really quickly! Here's a stock photo as I haven't taken a decent enough photo of my own just yet:

Mine are the ones on the right. My friend is actually coming over tonight to order the ones on the left because she saw this photo on my Facebook wall and loved them!
They're so comfortable! And look really nice too :D They came with a thin brown belt that you can see in the left picture, but I probably won't use it...so I stored it at the back of my drawer haha. The only other thing to do with mail that I hate besides delayed post due to weather or random stuff, is the the "attempted delivery" notes they leave you! Grr! They are such liars sometimes! I've been home and waiting for things to turn up and they don't even bother to ring the doorbell! Some mailmen don't even both to put the date or time on the note so i have no clue when they "tried" to deliver anything so I don't know if they'll still have it at the depot or not! Grrrrr grumpy Eilish lol. I went to pick up something from the Post Office on Saturday morning and got back home to find ANOTHER note because noone was home...so i'm going to pick it up tomorrow before work. I *hope* it's a d.i.a. top that I ordered online, or some nail stuff that I ordered!

Here is what I picked up on Saturday:

A d.i.a. grab-bag from Lily! Thank you so much!

This makes up for me not being able to get my hands on a 2011 d.i.a. lucky bag! And what do we have?
- Cream t-shirt
-Red long sleeve top with open back
-Gold studded bra
-Black & white print top with black sash and gold hoop detail
-Black sweatpants with pink string, border and print
-Olive onepiece with black bow and gold hoop and chain detail
-d.i.a. eco bag

I'm so happy! I looked and bidded on the 2011 bags online but they're so difficult to get hold of! People have bought 10+ bags and even though one bag retails at Y10,500, they're selling them off for Y20,000 each! I saw a bag online for Y40,000 AND Y70,000!!!! WTF. I won a 2010 lucky bag..bag haha. I didn't realise it was just the bag until i'd bidded but never mind, it's quite a nice bag (even if it does say "NEW YEARS BAG" on it haha)

I also met Caryn, Dec and Kazu (Dec's bf) briefly the other night to pick up the things that Caryn brought back for me from Japan! They were going to Karaoke but I couldn't stay as my funds are low right now (all this shopping I know...) and I was staaaaaarving!

d.i.a. top, egg Feburary and x2 Candy Doll face powder
It's been quite a d.i.a. week I guess! Oh! And a package came in the mail from Laura! She sent it on December 20th and it's taken nearly a month to get here! I haven't taken any photos but inside came two nail varnishes from HEMA (looove), some fake eyelashes, caramel waffles (yuuuummy!) and a kit to make my own king of sweet stuff! It's a Christmas thing really but I don't care! Still going to make them and post them here! In some other news, i'm going to Oslo, Norway in February to see Monica and Ingvild! I was going to go in the first weekend of March but I had already booked a mini holiday away with my friends in October so I couldn't go :( But i'm going for 2 days or so at the beginning of Feb! It will be cold, but so so lovely to see them both! So, yeah! How has everyone's week been?

refresh

Hello! And happy belated Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful time, and got some wonderful things!
I spent Christmas with my family but also went to see my boyfriend and his family. Christmas is really big for his family and everyone had bought me a gift! I was in shock because I only bought something for his parents and his sister! They're all so kind!

I'm pleased to say that I am now on the road to recovery after being so bloody ill for the last week and a half, nearly 2 weeks! I still have a bit of a funny cough and my nose is still a bit blocked but i'm not coughing up blood anymore (ew) and my head isn't killing me much anymore which is great! I had to not go to work last week as I was so ill and I felt so bad, but I had gone in the day before and I went in the day after and I felt worse! Coughing on everything and all the customers..lol, but i'm still on a probation so I don't want to make any screw ups during this time! Only 2 months to go now, and then I guess i'll find out if they really want me there! Tom came to see me while I was ill and bought me 4 Hello Kitty plushies because I was sick! It was also an early XMas gift for me, which was so sweet!

New!

My current plushie collection!

Yesterday I met with Ingvild and Kei! Ingvild spends Christmas in the UK with her grandfather and because I met her in Finland, she now knows someone over here she can meet up with! She came on the 22nd and flies home today, and although we didn't make any plans to meet until yesterday, she came into my work the day she flew in to surprise me! I was like "AHH INGVILD!" when she walked in lol! I suppose a flight from Norway to UK is okay though, maybe like 1-2hrs max so no worries about jetlag or anything :D

Surprisingly it wasn't that cold in London yesterday, which was nice, but of course, you still have to wrap up otherwise you'll get sick..like I did lol! Here was my co-ordinate:

HAT: Tokyo Disneyland
TOP: Golds Infinity
NECKLACE: Topshop
JEANS: H&M
TAIL: Osaka
BOOTS: Primark
Here's some of the puri we took:

Obligatory "Agepoyo" picture lol

We went looking for somewhere to eat because me and Kei hadn't eaten and we ummed and aahed about several places and ended up going somewhere more expensive than where we were going to go lol but the food was nice and the staff are nice so that was fine. We met Ingvild on Oxford Street which is probably one of the worst places at this time of year because everyone is mad for all the sales and stuff and of course, it was crowded and horrible! I'm so glad it wasn't boxing day though as that would have been so much worse!!

Mind you, there was a tube strike all day, so like no lines were working, so how did anyone manage to get to shop in London at all? I was supposed to work but couldn't because there was no physical way of me travelling there! I ended up going to Brighton to see my Dad's side of the family. I really wanted to go to the Cyberdog in Brighton to see what it was like because it said we were only 15 minutes away by car and also because I don't travel there all the time, but I don't think it was open because I called them to check and they didn't pick up, and I tried 3 times and there was nothing :( Someone I know was in Brighton the same day and said that it looked like it was closed when he went past so maybe it's a good thing I didn't just rush over there to check it out lol!

I'm trying to save my money right now because i'm not used to being paid monthly so anything I get has to last me for another 3 or 4 weeks or so which is difficult but I really want to be able to not spend things! Obviously I have to spend for travel and if i'm out, then food also, but if i'm at home then it's okay, although the lure of online shopping is sometimes too great! I did buy some d.i.a. stuff for myself because hey, it's Christmas and I thought what the hell, and I still have money leftover so i'm happy! No more stupid spending now though! So i'm hoping that I will receive some nice looking parcels soon!

It's going to be New Year's soon! What is everyone doing?

back to reality

Hello everyone! Gah, i've been so annoyed with my blog over the weekend but it's working again now! Some rogue HTML found it's way into my blog and it didn't make any sense! But it's been fixed, so the last blog is now complete again for you to read lol!

(By the way, by rogue, I don't mean rogue virus, I mean crafty little bugger!)

It's the start of a new week once again, and it's really getting close to Christmas! Usually I wouldn't really care. I mean, this time last year I was nearly going to Japan for the first time! I can't tell you how weird it feels for me not to be going again around this same time :( I've been reminiscing about Japan recently and i've been feeling really down. At Cyberdog, we sell 6% dokidoki products, and the manager asked me to send an email to Sebastian for a new order last week, and that made me miss Japan. The same day, 2 Japanese girls came into the store and I asked them if they needed any help or anything at all and they were so stunned that I was speaking to them in Japanese! That made me miss Japan even more. Okay, so i'm not fluent or anything, but I really enjoy being able to practise the Japanese I know with Japanese people, and when I was there in October, I really got a chance to improve my speaking skills with everyone, everyday, and that's what really hit home the other day. I really want to go back :(

Aside from that and going back to XMas, i've managed to buy all the gifts for my family before everyone starts to panic buy! I feel proud! This year i've put in a lot of effort, mainly because last year I wasn't able to really get my family anything, due to going away to Tokyo a few days later. I got a really neat gift for my Mom, and I really hope she'll like it. We don't have the best relationship in the world but there are always opportunities to make it stronger. I'm not saying that giving gifts is the best way to do so, although it's a nice little surprise! Currently all the gifts are sitting in two large Cyberdog bags in my room, lol! To break up this post, here's a few puri I took at the end of last week~

It's trueeeeeeeeeeee

I finally managed to bloody buy egg! I went to the JC nearly everyday after work and they didn't have it, and the one day I didn't go, they had stocked it! I'm glad to see that fur tails and fur in general is still in fashion ;D

Here's a boob(ish) one for you all

As some of you may know, here at my blog I have mentioned a few things about myself. One in particular being my girl-crush on James Marsters; i.e. Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. In case you haven't seen this glorious programme and are not sure who he is, or if, like me, you just want to view a bit of Vampire hotness, please view the pictures below:

Dude seriously, if my photoshop skills were great, I would SO photoshop my head into this!

HAHA. Unfortunately, only "Buffy" Spike is hot. James Marsters in the present day doesn't really cut it for me...most older men don't really have that kind of effect haha. Anyway, I had another dream about him again...and for some reason Angel; i.e. David Boreanaz; was there too? Let's just say...it was awesome ;D...

This evening, Cyberdog had a Christmas meal for all the staff. I still haven't really spoken to everyone properly, but needless to say, I didn't really this time either lol! I did manage to speak to a few more girls properly which was nice! I really want to go out with them for a drink because they seem so fun to be around! Some of the guys were taking photos and I was desperate not to be in them and so I ended up leaving really hastily and probably looked quite rude but they were being sneaky and mean and it was stupid lol! I told them that if they put any of me on Facebook, i'll report them. I'm serious! I'm kind of nervous too, because my manager asked me to do a deco case for her BlackBerry! SCARY!!!!! I don't want to fuck it up lol!

belated/Part 2

Hello again! I'm back to bring part two of the belated-ness!

Last weekend I met up with Georgie, her fiance Mark, Dec and Ivan for a belated birthday celebration with them! I didn't get a chance to see any of my Gal friends on the weekend of my actual birthday so it was great to see them! Unfortunately Floz and Caryn weren't able to come but there's also more opportunities! We went to an AWESOME Karaoke called On Board. I'd found it via Google earlier this year but had never been to it. It's a Japanese-run, Japanese-like karaoke with a Japanese system of over 60,000 Japanese songs, and a few thousands of English, Chinese, Korean and Filipino songs. Unfortunately it's still book method (you have to look through a book to find the song you want) but they have an incredible selection of brand new Japanese songs! Originally for Japanese karaoke, we were visiting a Korean restaurant with karaoke downstairs, again with book method, but nothing is ever updated, it's really expensive, and the staff are really rude, so it's great to have found somewhere else which is cheaper, has nicer staff (who we know already, what a small world!) and has an even better selection of songs!

They have LOADS of Para Para songs too, and some of them even have the actual Para video so you can learn or dance along whilst singing! They have the PlayZ song too, which isn't really that old to be fair! Whenever we visit karaoke, I feel bad because Georgie and Mark never really sing! In general I feel bad around them as I feel like im always acting too mad or talking about rude things too much, and no matter how many times they say they don't mind and they're not freaked out, I still think im overdoing it lol! Sorry again!!! >.< Georgie and Dec got me some really great gifts! Dec got me this super cute Troll doll:

She has the same hair as me! Well, when mine has been freshly dyed!

I'm still trying to think of a name for her...has anyone got any good suggestions? Georgie got me some really great furry fingerless glove things, which I adore!

Kei came! She joined us for puri and food at Ed's Diner (yum) and it was great to see her, as I haven't since the beginning of Summer! :( It was also really, really cold that day and Georgie braved shorts! (plus tights) and looked damn cute too!

Thanks again for coming guys, you're all so sweet! It was great to be able to share my celebrations with you! Here's the info for On Board, I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

On Monday it was my sister's birthday, and she's now 16. 16!!!!! I can't believe it! I remember being 16...I was such an idiot lol, and probably such a pain to live with! (Although sometimes still am lol) It's kind of scary getting older. Even though i've only been 20 for a few weeks, it already feels like my life is changing in really big ways...i'm not sure how much I like it to be honest. My Dad confirmed that in 2.5 years he'll be retiring to Ireland with my Mom. He spoke to me about it before when I was 16, but hasn't spoken about it since. He plans to retire early because he just hates work so much, and to be honest, I really don't blame him. After all, he works in the LOVELY place I wrote a blog about and tbh, the sooner he leaves, the happier he will be! 2.5 years is going to FLY BY!

I've never moved house or anything before so the thought that someone could be living in my house (yeah this shithole that keeps flooding and stuff, don't know why anyone would want to lol)  is really quite strange and kind of...I don't know, not horrible, but uncomfortable. Where am I supposed to go????? My parents said they won't let me live in the house with my sister, but it's not like im going to find a stable enough job between now and then for me to be able to afford my own place to live, even if it was with my sister! I don't get why they can't just stay here :( Ugh, and then that thing about growing older hits me again and I can feel my tummy scrunch up and my head starts thinking stupid things that i'm not going to put in my blog because I hate thinking about it and writing about it and keeping it preserved is even worse :( sad times and im going to move on!!!

Anyway...on Monday, we went to a restaurant to celebrate her birthday, and also mine, as me and my family didn't get a chance to go out in the week of my own, so that was nice. We went to a buffet place with lots of different Asian food, as well as some British (like roast dinner lol!!) and I think some Italian stuff too. Theres a few of these things where I am, one particular chain called Jimmy Spices, where you pay say £15 for buffet and you go round with a plate and can get food from all different world cuisines, and then the dessert part is usually lots of small cute looking things and a chocolate fountain and stuff, and the place we went to, Cosmo, was the same, BUT BETTER. It was DAMN CLASSY, like so posh inside! And there was a huge statue thing made out of sweets and biscuits and cake in the foyer!!! So impressed, like bloody Ace of Cakes or something! The food was really good! Although I highly doubted how "fresh" the "fresh sushi" was and the "Japanese" chefs it was prepared by ...hmm. Again, totally recommend! They have them all around the UK, so here's the link:

That's mainly it for this week! I haven't really done anything but work and I also bought the last of my XMas presents for my family, as well as see my friend Jess and do her hair for her :D OO how could I forget! LOL. Today I wasn't working but I went in to do some modelling for the website! Just showing off some new clothes and stuff, but it was pretty fun! I've done stuff for a clothing company before but this is definitely bigger! I haven't done a lot of "normal" (lol) modelling for a while so my face is the same in each shot, but I *think* the photos came out okay! I modelled a few other things but so far this is the only thing that's up........I was up so early this morning and felt so ill so I didn't really do anything with my hair, and my make-up was done on the tube, so I want no comments of "YOU'RE NOT GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL" (duh, im modelling CYBER clothing....) lol!

Speak soon!

cybecybe

Hello! And happy Sunday to everyone. Today I had my trial shift at Cyberdog and im really pleased to say that I got the job! Its only part-time but it's still awesome! I'm now officially a shop staff! Although it's not the same kind we all know and follow (the girls of 109) I really enjoy being someone who gets to dress up all funky and promote something! Saying that, I do need to buy some more brightly coloured tops, socks and shoes! Im so tiny compared to some of the other people working there and im really lusting after a pair of huge wedge boots that I can cover with cute fluffly legwarmers and huge socks! I want to be tall at least once!

Another option is to buy cheap little wedges from somewhere and then I can just cover them however I want! I might take a look in Primark tomorrow (cheeeeeeeap clothing -cheaper than H&M- home stuff and accessories store in the UK, Ireland and Spain - as far as im aware!) and see what I can find! I got a free tshirt from Cyberdog as I don't own any clothing from there as of yet, but I did buy a suuuuper cute short white playsuit with huge buttons on! :D I think im going to start posting my co-ords for you all to see!

I guess you guys who read my blog from outside the UK or even outside of London may not actually know what Cyberdog looks like! Unfortunately, we don't allow photographs or filming inside the store so it's really difficult to actually show you what it looks like!

The outside of the store, taken from Google.

Here's a sneaky video someone took last year after the new store had opened:

Here's another sneaky video! But actually better view of the store LOL

As you've guessed, the store plays really loud (much louder in real life!) trance, techno and mixes of music. Sometimes there are dancers in the special dance boxes and on the pole in the 18+ section (yep!) and where the DJ decks are themselves, the area around is really big and clear so sometimes the staff just randomly dance there lol! The store caters generally to those who have an interest in Cyber culture, music or fashion, but the main flow of people and customers is actually tourists, who may or may not be into that. The staff are all quite unique, with either lots of tattoos or lots of piercings, and sometimes crazy hair colours and usually bright clothing (the Cyberdog clothing). And why is it called Cyberdog you ask?

This is Chi Chi, THE Cyberdog! He's so playful in real life!

And check out the store logo...

I got a lot of compliments on my hair and outfit and general look today (even if none of it was Cyberdog lol!) so im hoping that I continue to make good impressions with not only the customers, but the staff too! They all seem really sweet and nice, and on Tuesday i'll get to meet EVERYONE properly, like 25+ people! A girl that attended my group interview also got the job so it will be nice to see her again! A Slovenian girl works in the shop and she's been there for about a month now. She was so sweet! I'd only literally exchanged names with her and maybe a question or two but after our shifts she invited me to eat with her and her sister, and to go to a Christmas market and for drinks in the week! She lives actually really close to me, so it's awesome! I hope my next shift goes just as well!

the travelling flamingo

I want to thank everyone for entering the Giveaway so far and also for all the comments on my blog posts about Finland! I really enjoy meeting other people who have the same interests, especially if they're not from the same country as me! It gives me an excuse to travel! Since going to Finland i've got a real bug for travelling! Last night I was looking at flights to Los Angeles! I've wanted to go to America for quite a long time now, but Japan has been getting it's own way lol!

The Gal scene in USA looks so awesome! And from all the events that I keep seeing, i'm getting really damn jealous! Why not host my own event(s) here you ask? It's not as simple! While there are Gals here in UK, it's always been pretty difficult to create an event for that particular clientele. I'm looking to *hopefully* host an event sometime next year with Dec and possibly Amelie, as it's something me and Dec have been lusting over for AGES!

ANYWAY. So, Los Angeles! It's quite sporadic, and it may not even happen, but i'd like to think I can pull it off! I bet i'll end up going by myself...lol! Monica did ask me who was going with me and i'm really going to try and tempt her into coming with me! I'm not sure if Caryn and Dec will come, but of course, I will ask them too! The more the merrier right? I did ask my boyfriend last night and he said he was tempted...so either way, hopefully I won't be alone lol!

Today I had another job interview, for the same job I held at the hospital I wrote a lovely blog about, at a hospital much closer to where I live, well, it's in my town lol and I can get a bus from my house there as opposed to walking for ages to a bustop which isn't anywhere near my house! I don't know if i'll get it...we'll wait and see! To be honest, i'd rather just work at Cyberdog LOL but of course, I still have to see how that pans out! I have my trial shift there this coming Sunday from 11am-3pm so I HOPE I make a good impression, considering i've never done retail work before! I might go to the store tomorrow and pick up some clothing. If I get the job, i'll get a discount on an outfit but I want to look like im actually making the effort to promote myself and the store. I want some white dungarees with huge buttons on that I spied at my first interview!
Hair fun:

dry and straight!

me now! lol im wearing a fucking RIDE PONCHO from Universal Studios so that I don't get pink everywhere like I did last time :D

AH I need to wash this dye out!

rough ride

Hi guys, please excuse me for this rubbish excuse of not posting. I haven't had the best week as it were, well, since I posted my last blog i've been feeling really run down and out of touch. This has had an effect on my body as i've lost nearly 2 stone in the past 3 weeks....what the hell.

Last week, I lost my job....My hair and my nails were originally somewhat of a "problem", but I complied with their "rules" and wore a theatre hat (a pink one to be precise) and this Tuesday I got my fabulous nails taken off (I really wanted to keep them for Helsinki and I guess I could have done really...) and they turned round to me and basically said they didn't want me there anyway. My dad told me not to write any of the situation on Facebook or other sites but I think that the Trust and the department involved has had enough time to "settle" as it were, so im going to spill all and I hope someone comes across this and feels crap after reading it. I.E someone from the department or Trust.

I've mentioned a little bit before on my blog about their plot to try and get rid of me. I've always been the youngest member of staff there, and everyone else is a good 20, 30 or more years older than me. A lot of the older sisters are stuck in their ways of when they started working in theatres and so see nothing wrong with good old fashioned discipline and ways of working, but a select few have joined us in the modern world and are actually ncie and good to work with. I found myself getting on with everyone there, obviously after a little bit of time, and I felt like I was the one people could count on to get stuff done. One sister would only ask me to do things for her as she knew I could do it, no problems. And that feels nice! It means there are a few people who think im alright!

I think my problems started when I went away to Japan, my little "boss" who was in charge of me and my other group of workers got it into his head that I "wasn't coming back" and refused to give me any work, even when I returned, made up excuses not to give me work. Ultimate FAIL. He screwed up so much that the department "manager" (there are 4 people that sit in a little office and do jack so we have no idea who our "manager" is supposed to be) had a right go at him. When I came back the other week though, thats when things just went downhill. I managed to keep my nails hidden from the right people for a whole week, but then the woman who had become in charge of my group (it changed constantly because apparently we're difficult to handle) really gave it to me. I ended up being sent home twice and being asked to wear a hat so that my hair "is not visible to anyone at all", that or I was asked to wear a HEADSCARF which I declined as I don't have a religion and definitely, if I started to wear one, i'd get it in the ear from a lot of people around the hospital.

The sisters and other people started enquiring as to why I was wearing a hat and that I didn't need to as it wasn't affecting me or the people I work with, or even how I work, and I had actually had so many compliments from patients all over the hospital and from other department workers which was great. Everyone really loved my nails too, even though I shouldn't have had them, but whatever...lol. But then, I guess complying with people's rules just isn't enough, and apparently, my hair was "sticking out" of my hat, so they told me not to come back until my hair was an "appropriate colour"....wtf. So I bought a wig, considering that a girl in my department wears one and so do others around the hospital, like OBVIOUS wigs. The one I bought is the same length as my own hair, and as I usually have a front fringe, it had one too. Noone would have been able to tell! Its actually a really good wig, i was surprised at the quality. BUT its one rule for one, and one for another, and I was told that I would not be allowed to work in theatres again because my dad works there. This is the latest excuse they've come up with, and apparently its a Trust and Staffbank policy (an agency that provides healthcare workers to the NHS, and what im employed on) that family members cannot work in the same department.

There are a few things wrong with this excuse of theirs:
1) Staffbank got me the job BECAUSE my dad works there. They knew he was related to me and had no problems
2) Everyone i've asked have never heard of this "policy"
3) There are two sets of sisters working in the department, as well as 2 married couples, soon to be 3. Each of them are Staffbank and Trust employees, so if this "rule" covers both these employers, why haven't they been asked to move yet?

Its pretty much fail, but I guess I am pretty bummed about it. Even though I complained about it so much, I am already missing the people I actually got on with, especially Angela, the other receptionist. I actually can feel tears welling up as I write this blog post....that sucks.

BUT ANYWAY I had a job interview the day after I heard this pathetic excuse and it must of gone well as I have a second interview tomorrow! Really its only for Christmas staff but im hoping that if I do a good job I can always ask to stay on! Its for Cyberdog in Camden, and if I get the job *fingers crossed for tomorrow* I can dress however I want to. They state in the application "oh, and you have to look amazing!" so, :D!

My laptop has gone away for repair and i've lost everything! Thankfully I still have all my Japan photos on my memory card and the ones I uploaded online, so I will bring you the rest of the photos in the next post, and also the giveaway when im finished purchasing for it! It hard to buy stuff for a random person as you want them to be happy with it lol! I might as well get my nails done again actually...

Good Friday and the Easter weekend

Happy Easter holidays guys!

It sucks, its my bloody 6 day weekend (5 now that its Friday) and I have nout to do! Yesterday I saw my man, but he only stayed a little bit because he went out to see his friends. I stayed up watching OutKast videos and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.....; D

My Friday nights are so dry now! I never do anything :( I remember going out all the time...and now I don't. Which I guess is good for my purse, but it gets boring! And then the weekend is overrrrrrr

Oh! And to update you on the job front - that telephone interview I had for the lifestyle place...the woman was so unreliable and unprofessional, my god. She never contacted me on Monday or Tuesday, and when I emailied her on Wednesday to share my annoyance and such, she said she would contact me at 5:15 that evening. Come 5:15 and nothing! She didn't get round to calling me 'til yesterday at like 2:30 and I didn't get the job anyway; she sent me an email saying that they were "impressed" with me, but oter candidates were "exceptionally better" ... haha. The meeting with the recruitment agency for the Tolworth Tower job went well. I was late though, but only because I got lost! The guy said that they need to stop giving out the directions they send out because they're wrong :z .... the interview itself will take place around the 19th April, so I hope to god I get something..

My computer's internet won't work, so im using my dad's old laptop which he gave to us a couple years back and I subsequently smashed the screen internally whilst playing Tomb Raider so it was a little "out of action" for a while. It also has no "H" key, just a button where the thing used to be. Its very annoying. The internet won't work on the computer, but it will on this laptop so its like wth is going on. All my pictures etc etc are stored on there so I have to resort to using Memory USB if I really want something. There is also no proper language packs as its only Windows 2000 or XP or something so Ive installed the JP ones, but I still can't type in Japanese, only copy and paste, so that makes things a little more annoying.

I must say, I really am liking the new member of HIBISCGYARU, Floz. She's so down to earth and sweet! We all had a great time last weekend trotting around Selfridges and then having a really long, but good, talk in Macdonalds~ I also want to answer more questions!!!!!!

General ranting

This blog is full of annoyed Koneko-ness so im warning you now!

2010 doesn't seem to have started very well to be honest. Its only been 2 months into the new year and already its been filled with stupid, pretty drama and arguments (one of which I have already owned up to for starting and I managed to stop it), and just general shittiness.

First of all, HIBISCGYARU. Since the meeting that we had in January, the attitude of everyone seems to have really changed and its strange and in a way seems like everyone really dislikes me. I put in so much work and it always seems to get thrown back in my face without a thanks or anything at all. I know there are people who do appreciate what I do, but others don't or just hide it and it makes me wonder why I even bother sometimes. I know I can be a pretty strong-willed person and that some of the things I say come across as really horrible and nasty, but ive never denied being a bitch. Im not going to say something and then lie and say I didn't say it. Im owning up to being a bitch and if you get in my line of fire, its not on purpose, but more a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I can snap at small things and I can hold grudges. I once wouldn't speak to a girl who is now my best friend for 2 whole years. We used to be really good friends and then she lied to me about loads of stuff so I couldn't trust her and then she got dragged up to Essex by my ex boyfriend, who she was also dating at the time but lied about it, and was forced to become an adult at 14. It was the bf saying loads of stuff to her to make her think that she had no friends and that but she did stuff to me which wasn't right either, so I refused to talk to her. I hate it when people get the bad end of the stick from me and assume everyone from HIB is the same as me. Im just the leader, or should I say, president of the Galcir (now), so I will defend it at all costs! And whatever I do to defend it is what I shall do, regardless!

But what still gets to me is that there are girls in the circle that are soooo fake! Girls that say im wrong for saying something bitchy about one person and then saying loads of shit about them 2 minutes later, and THEN being all nice to the person they've been a bitch about! It's not on! Also, because of the new rules and things that are being introduced, theres definitely a different air about everyone, but what I don't understand is that everyone agreed on them, so its not like im dictating something and saying everyone has to follow it! Ffs!

THIS IS HOW I FEEL

Secondly; I keep thinking more and more about Japan and its driving me as crazy as I look in the above picture, so I figure I might have to do something about it before I kill someone or something like that. Me and my girl Nij were originally planning in the very very beginning, which is like 2 years ago now (!), to go on the Working Holiday Visa for a year in December 2008, but after doing lots of research for places to live and jobs etc, we didn't. We then though "well, let's go on it NEXT December!" and that was of course, 2009, and what did we do? Go for a 2 week holiday instead...lol. And now, it being 2010, our thoughts are going out to doing the same thing again, but this time ACTUALLY going through with the plan. This time however, we are thinking of going in September. I don't know why, but it just seems a good time. There are several things stopping us though;

Niijii's problems:
1. No job, so therefore no financial backing to go ahead and do this, even if it's 6 months away
2. He's unsure of his future, and what he would want to do in Japan as a job
3. He's just started doing Nail/Makeup/Hair training at the salon where I got my nails done and is being offered a course for free sometime during the year (and the courses are hell expensive!) but won't be able to just get up and leave because the woman doing the training won't be happy, and he would have to try and find ways to pay for the course himself at some other point which might be too difficult
4. If he doesn't go to Japan this year and carries on with the training and actually goes through with doing the course, he's scared he might not want to go back to Japan any other time because he won't be interested in it in the same ways as he is now, and that he will miss out on things he could have done at his age/point in his life now

Koneko's problems:
1. Job. I already mentioned about me having to look for another job, and although im looking now, if I don't apply for something, I could possibly be kicked out of my current job before September so its risky not to get into another job before this happens
2. Bad saving habits. The reason I was able to go last time was due to all of my emergency taxes that had been taken from me for the past 2 years were refunded back to me in one lump sum from the two jobs I had been working, so that was loads (over £1000) and I also had money stored away in another account. I do have an ISA, but the money in there is for a set amount of time, and even though it's my money and my account, I don't have any access to it :s and my parents don't want me to just take it out and be done with it. Plus, you can only take out the whole thing in one go, not bits at a time. But dude, I have £3000 in there!!!!!!!!!!!!! £3000 for potential places to live/shopping at 109!
3. My partner. I have only been with him for roughly 9 months now (on the 27th this month), but I know id be making a big mistake if I went away and he wanted to end things. I really can't see myself with anyone else at this current point in time and id hate to throw everything away, but its difficult because Ive wanted to go and live in Japan for the year way before I met him (as mentioned above), so if I didn't go, it would be a selfish decision to myself. I spoke to him about it before and he understands that its something I want to do and won't really have much of an opportunity to do again if I don't just take the chance, and said he will wait for me, so that we can still be together even if im in another country for a long time, but I don't want to stop him from what he wants to do, and he doesn't want to stop me....He's the best thing that's ever happened to me, so you can probably understand why I really don't want to let him go, I mean, it would be a waste! I support him, and I know he supports me, but its a big thing to ask of someone....;'(

Apart from these big issues. I also need/want a half wig. Prisila preferably, but ALAS they don't do it in my hoe bleach blonde #613 colour :z There are some classy ones I have found on the net:

£56.99. My colour, and a lot looser than the above, but still like it

£35. My color, AND classin as hell!

I might go for the last one...What do you guys think?
