life and times

Hi guys!

How are you all doing?
It's been a mad few weeks over here in Eilishland, that's for sure.

So, alongside me having to have Root Canal done, some pretty awesome things have happened too! I got to meet and have lunch with Tish from Manic Panic! (on the right, Snooky on the left)

It was awesome, and really exciting to be able to actually talk and meet with one of the creators of the brand! I guess working where I am gives me a lot of great opportunities like that :) And following on from there?

I got promoted!

Yep! I'm now a member of the management team as a Supervisor! It's so strange to think that I only started just under a year and a half ago and that I've come this far! I'm really happy, and it's great to start a new job role! Please wish me luck in my new position!

Next weekend is Hyper Japan 2012, and I'll be working at the Cyberdog stall! Please come by and say hi!

In some other cutesy news, me and Adam will have been together for one year tomorrow! (Saturday) I can't believe how quickly the time has gone by! But I feel that it's been a great year so far, and hopefully many more to come! Tonight, we're staying at a hotel and probably going to have a meal somewhere...aww, I can't wait!

And because you might have forgotten what I look like, here's a photo of me from yesterday, before I got ready to go out with Ryo!

We went for bubble tea in Camden, as she'd had it in Germany the other week and was absolutely craving for it >.

See you soon!

Red Leicester

Hi guys! How are you all doing?
I'm back from Leicester! And i'm here to bring you a post about it. It's more like a photo spam really, as there's not too much to write about i'm afraid! My trip was mainly about meeting my boyfriend's family (and parents!) for the first time, but there was also a series of birthdays and anniversaries that also occured over the weekend.

So, on Friday, me and Adam laid around in bed and I made my serial-photo-spam blog for you all, and then realised we had only half an hour to get ready and leave before our train left..eek! That morning, I also did something funny, but something I had been planning on for a while! You wanna see?

Yeah, I shaved the sides of my head lol! But there's a reason behind it...my hair is really really not loving me right now and at the sides of my head, the hair was like, fried and crispy and no amount of hair repair serum or masques were going to save it, so I shaved it off! Well, Adam did, and I touched it up ;D It was something I was going to do for a while..and hey! There's a chick in egg magazine with her WHOLE head shaved and patterns in it! But i'm not about to rid myself of it all mind you!

Anyways, off this slightly off-track topic and back to what I was supposed to be talking about... We got to Leicester in the afternoon after watching Buffy on the train and after dropping our stuff off at Adam's parents house, Adam took me to meet his Mom..SCARY TIMES!!!! But it wasn't scary at all :D! Yaaay! Meeting the parents wasn't bad at all, after I was worrying they wouldn't like me and things like that, so i'm glad it went smoothly! On Friday we just stayed in and played Buzz!, which i've never played before but it was highly addictive....

Wendy & Mandy!
Saturday, me and Adam went swimming early in the morning, and then went to town during the day. In the evening we had a meal out at an all-you-can-eat World buffet (i've blogged about this kind of restaurant before) which was GREAT! and then afterwards, we went to Redeemer, which is an alternatve music club. It was "Cheesecake" night, and on the main floor they were playing 90s dance anthems and on the upstairs floor was metal, rock etc. They had Thundercats playing on TV's in the background!

And Sunday, there was a family BBQ, where I met more of Adam's family :) Overall, the whole weekend was really nice and relaxing! I'm back to work tomorrow, which is always weird after you've had a few days off! Here's the rest of our photos!

I had a food baby..lol!

My glow in the dark hair tinsel! I've been wearing this as well as silver glitter tinsel for the past few months and it's great! The UV lights in the club were much stronger than the ones we have at work so they showed up straight away! I had to take some photos... :D!

I hope you enjoyed the photos! With the above photos of my hair tinsel, i'm going to do a blog about them for you guys! They're really cool and ahh I love them :D

Oh! I got another photo from the Gal shoot I did! But i'm still waiting on the full CD :(
I hope you like it^^. It kinda looks like I have no brows, but I still love the photo! I should be going back to work with the photographer again soon, so i'm really excited! On Friday I have another Doctor's appointment as my other one was fail, so hopefully I can find out what's wrong :( In the evening i'm going for dinner with the company who created Hyper Japan and then on Saturday i'm going to a fashion event with model scouts! I want the weekend to be nooooow!

For those of you interested in going to Hyper Japan this year, they have a new competition! It's called UK Kawaii Star of the Year, and it looks to be promising! The details should be available soon, but here is where you can check out all the cool things going on!

See you soon guys!

the time draws near

Hello!

I hope everyone is having/has had an awesome weekend so far! Mine has been rather chilled I must say. Yesterday (Saturday) I met up with Caryn and Nij to do some practise for the Japanese Art Festival, which is only in a couple of weeks time! Me and Caryn met up beforehand and we kept getting stopped by really weird people! Some guy stopped us on the way to Japan Centre and was like "wow you guys look amazing, but I like your shoes better and this top even better" and we're like wtf. And he was like "why do you dress this way?" etc etc etc we didn't even look that amazing...lol! But back to the JAF, it looks like it will be good, so come on down if you happen to like Japanese stuff and are in London:

Japanese Art Festival

They're going to have the legendary 6%tokodoki there! As well as lots of other stuff. Another event im also looking forward to, which is in October, is Hyper Japan!

I think I mentioned before but we were approached by the organisers of the event to help out with some Para Para on-stage and I think to also take part in the Street Fashion show! Its such a short time space because October 3rd is the date that I fly out to Japan, so im going to have my hair done on Friday 1st, go to this event the next day (2nd) then rush home to finish packing! Its mad!
But I am reaaaaaaally looking forward to it! And also to my holiday with my man in September! Jeez...thats actually really close now too haha! Luckily I don't really have any worries about funding and stuff now as I closed a couple of accounts that I didn't need anymore and its been tucked away until I really need it.

Im going to use the video feature on here to show you some videos that I have on my PC that never seem to go anywhere lol:

These last 2 weeks we've had builders in the house ripping out the kitchen wall and plastering and putting in insulation and stuff and it just looks dire right now! I hate the way the downstairs part of my house, and also how my bedroom looks :( Plus, I had one wall plastered where they put in insulation and it looks so much better and then they ruined it by putting skirting board over it! So now when it comes time to paint it, its going to look so bloody stupid! Ill just get my bf to rip it out LOL

Here are some photos from the past week or so

mmmm Chiquito's!

I went to A&E last week....whilst at work....great!

And me and Caryn's purikura:

My fringe went all funny because of the rain :z
I saw a girl on BNTM (which is SHIT) that wanted to leave and she was like "can I just say, its not for me" and she like, walked off! lol...

And BENI who helps to present Tokyo Kawaii TV also has a singing career but id never actually listened to her songs before. She's pretty good!

This is a good take on an already good song!

Ciao!
