belated/Part 1

Hello! Here I am! 6 days later with a post for you all! Once again, apologies for not updating but after what happened last week, I really just wasn't in the mood for writing about anything! I'm going to talk about my birthday weekend and all the stuff in between that i've missed! So let's start!

For my birthday, I wasn't at work because my boyfriend said he had planned something for me so I asked my new job if I could have it off (as I was supposed to work it and I thought it would be okay, but apparently not)...I felt so bad! That was like my second ever shift and I was already playing around! But luckily it was okay! Everyone even said that birthdays should be a complusory day off haha. I spent the day by myself at home, which sucked a bit as that's what i've been doing for the past month or so since not being at the Hospital and when i'm on a day off from Cyberdog but I made good use of my time and re-tidied my bedroom and also my wardrobe! I say re-tidied because I end up having to tidy it every single week, mainly every single day, it's stupid! But then again, it's my own fault for making it so messy.

I'm so happy that I can see into my wardrobe now though lol! But I need to tidy my room tonight/tomorrow as I have to step over things to get to something....i'm sure you guys know the feeling right? So besides that, I also ordered pizza...not exactly exciting! But hey, Domino's pizza is awesome! My boyfriend came to my house just after my pizza did. He was so sweet! He got me the biggest bunch of flowers i've ever seen in my life! I haven't taken a photo yet because some of the flowers are still opening. They're still like, perfectly fresh! It's awesome! He likes to get people funny cards for occasions, so my birthday card was no exception...lol!

In the evening, he was planning on taking me to Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant in Kingston, and apparently you can't book if it's not for a group, just turn up, but they didn't have any insight to what the food was like on the website, and tbh, i'm not the biggest fan of Italian food, like it wouldn't be my first choice, so we went for Mexican food at an awesome Mexican restaurant near to me! It's so DELICIOUS omg I want some now! Here are the details in case anyone decides to go at some point!

We went back to my house afterwards to watch the Fuji TV special on Finland Gals! I was so nervous to see everyone and myself too! And then there I was! I really need to stop smiling and laughing so much on Television! It looks like I have the biggest mouth ever lol! I don't look like that in real life at all! Koi-chan hasn't released all the photos yet and I haven't seen egg January to know whether any photos are in there yet, so bear with me!

I'm still waiting on the DVD to be sent to me and then I can see a clearer version of the programme! The quality from streaming it was awful (but to be expected) and kept lagging so the audio kept going but the video got stuck somewhere 2 minutes behind it! Here are some screenshots of me~

Who IS that girl??

They did a comparison of me from the last Fuji TV I was in to now

This was my (weird laggy) face saying "Before I was really ugly, but now im really pretty!" and then I had a LOVELY huge laugh...wth is wrong with me lol! I look nothing like this screencap in real life..wth

Yuma was really sweet, writing on her blog that I am a beatiful Gal now and that she was so happy for the purikura! I'm so pleased!^^

The next day I had the Para Para performance to do...and it was awful. The woman that organised it is really bad, and kind of unprofessional too. She didn't give me any information about where to go, who to talk to and didn't leave me a phone number in case I needed to contact her, so I was running late and got to the venue and had to talk to every single person I came across, and eventually I found her, right at the back of the place. She was surprised that it was just me doing the performance but was still happy that I had turned up! I kind of had to, there was no way I could have contacted her to say I wasn't coming! She doesn't even respond to my emails, yet she asks me to respond to hers by the end of the day that I got it! wth.

But yeah, after my slot was a guy who was talking about the voice-overs they do for Dragon Ball Z and the whole 10; maybe even less than that, 7?; people who actually watched me were actually waiting for this guy instead. The woman who organised it did a "tea ceremony" (it wasn't one) before my slot and there were a few, like 10, people watching her and they all cleared off when it was my turn! I tell you, it was such a waste of time! So I did one techpara and one parapara routine and then came off stage, much to the dislike of the guys with the microphones, but I wasn't just going to stand there in my tiny shorts and try and interest people who didn't want to even see me perform!

Afterwards I went to see if I could meet the classy Mercedes McNab, aka Harmony from Buffy! HOWEVER she wasn't there. She was "sick" so I completely missed her! I did, however, bump into the manager for the celebrities there, Sean, and he was awesome! He was walking around with Miko Hughes, who was a successful child actor in Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Apollo 13, Pet Semetary and other films. He was so cute! (obviously didn't say to his face though lol, would have been creepy of me!) They invited me to a gathering at their hotel in the evening and I really really wanted to go, but didn't in the end. Yeah I know, things like that CAN be dodgy, but I wouldn't have let anyone try anything! ;D I ended up going to the Fighting Cocks with my friend Jess and her boyfriend Steve, got really drunk and threw up when I came home. Lovely! Here's what I looked like pre-drinking:

Monica's tips are really helping me! My hair stayed the entire night! :D

Overall I had a good time though! And work has been enjoyable too. I haven't started posting co-ords just yet as I haven't got enough clothes to rotate into a nice selection for you guys, so at the moment, i'm just really wearing a lot of stuff more than once. It's hard!! Anyway, i'll be back with part 2 soon!

OO I meant to say. I've had a lot of friend requests on Facebook recently from people I have a lot of mutual friends with, say like 30 or so mutual friends, but I don't accept people I don't really know, or those with the same friends as me, purely because my Facebook is personal and it's really for my friends and family! I'm not saying that i'm just trying to be bitchy and like "well I have ALLLLL these friend requests but i'm just going to reject them all!" and trying to make out that im popular lol, in my dreams! I want to thank you all for reading my blog, and if some of you have tried to add me on Facebook and I haven't accepted, i'm sorry! I am thinking about maybe setting up a more open Facebook, or maybe just accepting a few requests at a time so I can get to know people! Please don't let this put you off me or my fantastically weird blog!

happy buh-stay

Hello! Today it's my birthday! I'm officially an adult, 20 years old~ It feels so strange! I feel like I can act out and stuff and blame it on being a teenager haha! Im going out with my boyfriend tonight, but im not sure where! He was supposed to come over earlier on but he hasn't materialised just yet :pHe just turned up!

I completely forgot that im doing a Para Para demo at the Entertainment Media Show tomorrow! Lol...
I think I might actually talk about Para as we've never done that properly done that at any event we've done, and I might show some techpara too! I'll be doing it all alone too...for 30 mins lol! One of the plus sides to this event is that Mercedes McNab, aka Harmony from BUFFY THE BLOODY VAMPIRE SLAYER will be there! SO want to meet her haha! She got it on with Spike after all ;) AND she was classy in Playboy too! even more reason to admire her! Downside? I have to pay £15 to "meet" her officially and then ANOTHER £15 for an autograph! :z Maybe I can get performer/staff discount...

HE'S MINE BITCH

Ah well, i'll try my best, wish me luck! I'll post photos of later on...later on!

1 day

Hello!

This is my last blog post before I leave Japan! :( sad times

This week has been really eventful, yet relaxing, which is nice. I found out that my laptop DOES have an SD card slot so I? could have uploaded photos all this time but it doesn't matter, I'll do it when I get back to UK~ I can't really take any new photos properly as my camera is broken! It will turn on, and I *can* take photos/videos, but the screen has screwed up so you can't see anything!

see :(

I was flicking through CARRY's books for aaaages until I came across this exact design on another girl and wanted it! They were so nice in there too! I took my friend Gen from Fuji TV along to translate for me which was great~ They were surprised to hear about Gaijin Gal and were also asking about how I did my hair and just general girl talk lol. They thought I was an artist at first and were like "omg omg omg" and I was like, no, i'm just a person lol. After CARRY, we took some puri and then headed to the Lock Up, as Caryn hadn't been there before. Unfortunately Gen had to go back to work :z so the three of us went instead. Here is some puri!

The Lock Up was pretty classy, and I really missed their spicy chicken! Although it's not really that spicy haha. The next day, Caryn went with her friend to the beach on the other side of Tokyo while me and Dec went to Tokyo station to change our Shinkansen tickets. Our flight is from Kansai Airport, so we get to experience the magic of the bullet train! Everyone says it's cool, so i'm quite excited to give it a go. We bought a special reduced ticket for Y12,000 which must be purchased one month to one week of departure, BUT, the time we selected would have meant we would have arrived at the airport with 1hr before our flight left! And we need to be there at least 3hrs before,(thanks to Caryn for bringing that to our attention!) and I had read on the JR website that you can change your ticket once with no charge, so off we went to the station.

At first we were told "you can't change your ticket" and we were like ...!!!!!! and panicking, but the woman behind the desk was kind and helped us out and said that if we wanted to change the ticket type rather than the time (as we bought a set time ticket and because it was a special fare and the time to buy it had passed, we wouldn't be able to change it) we could do so for an extra Y1,770 I think it was in the end, which is their commission (she said!). So now we can travel at any time which makes things easier and we're much more relaxed now! It's such a relief when you manage to sort out problems like that, especially last minute! That definitely teaches me for trying to be too casual about times~

We went back to Harajuku to see if we could find any cheap things for family and friends but there wasn't anything my lot would like so I went back home and Dec stayed out. When he got back, we went to the Denny's next to the station near our hotel, lol! I thought it was supposed to be American food, like burgers and stuff, but it was like Royal Host (if you've never been, it's like cheap curry, pasta and those hamburg steak things - like Little Chef in the UK) and we were a bit like "oh.." haha. The Caramel Pancakes were SO BLOODY NICE THOUGH. Yum. We took Caryn there the following afternoon haha and we all ate so many carbs, like a potato croquette, rice AND wedges, wth. In the evening, me and Dec went to the Tokyo Decadance bar in Shinjuku. It was ....okay, I guess. Sorry Adrien :z

On Saturday, we went to Shinjuku in the daytime and then met up with someone we met at the Hyper Japan event in London the day before we went to Japan (nice photo on gal secrets lol!!) ans she brought Satomi from Happie Nuts with her! She was soooo classy and so funny. She is the QUEEN of mad faces! She has a whole load of photos on her phone of her doing crazy ass faces! We went to a really small, and really yummy Yakitori place just opposite Shibuya station and stayed there for about 3 hours or something. Hiromi from Nuts also came to join us, and she is one of the most friendliest and down to earth people I have ever met! We got on straight away, it was like we'd known each other for years or something, which was good, considering she's a model and dj and well known and i'm just me lol. We went to Freshness Burger after everyone went home and chatted for ages. Her English is really good, and she was like "I want to learn English more! my English sucks!". She's so generous and kind, I hope she takes my advice!

Yesterday we went to 109 for the last time and also to SEF Deluxe (para para event) and on the way, we randomly bumped into Lexi (gaijin gal) who you might remember from the Fuji TV segment on foreign gals~ It was cool! Today we went to Disneyland and i'm ADDICTED to the Halloween Street: Welcome to Spookyville song! I NEED IT AS MY RINGTONE AND I DIDN'T BUY THE BLOODY CD IN THE SHOP AND I CAN ONLY FIND SOME EXPENSIVE ASS CD ONLINE.....:z

ANYWAY long blog, sorry! Off home tomorrow! 2 lovely flights :(
See y'all on my return, or in Dubai!

crazy

Hello!

This is a jumbly post (all of my blog posts are) today!

FIRST UP. The Japanese Art Festival is this weekend! If you're in London visiting, or if you live in London and you like/love Japan and all things related, then why not go visit? I haven't been asked to advertise this in any way, I just think it looks like a neat event and as I've mentioned before, me and the girls will be performing there, so yeah! We are only performing on Sunday 22nd now due to "stage booked up" which is a bit annoying seeing as the organizer seeked us out and asked us months and months ago :z

I did some clothes shopping a little while back and didn't show you guys what I bought!

And I got these sunglasses for free because I spent over £35 :D

Niiice.

My hello kitty mouse came in the mail on...Tuesday, I think I might have already mentioned, but it's so cute! It lights up! And my new mousemat came yesterday so All I need now is the cover/case I ordered and im all set!
Note: NOT where I bought the mouse from lol....

While I was searching for these images I came across this!!!! A Hello Kitty phone! And not the ugly small pink one people usually get off eBay! (Sorry if you have bought that one and are stuck with it....)

$455!!!!! damn expensive.
My fake tan also came, yay! A Fake Bake trio of 1)Original tanning lotion 2)Body polish and 3)Skin smoothie oil

It's the old style sticker on the front, the classic gold girl, but the products are still in date and fine to use :D

Today I went into town to exchange the fur gilet I bought (in previous blog) for a smaller size, and I also bought dry shampoo that I can take on the plane with me, as its not a can, but a small squeezy bottle of powder instead. I've also been going over the routine that we're performing on Sunday and trying to get as much practise in with my heels on as I can! I think im doing the routine in like 5" heels! Could be wrong, could be more!! haha. It's okay though, I haven't fallen over...yet lol

Luckily I can practise because I had to leave work early yesterday because of chest pains again. It sucks so bad! I've been told it's just muscular pain but my parents seem to think otherwise. It hurts still today, but at least I can walk and breathe! Usually im completely knocked out and can't stand up, walk, or breathe in or out, and it's agony ¬_¬ So, hopefully, it won't kick in while im performing! It doesn't usually happen WHILE im doing something, it usually happens when im like, sitting down, or completely relaxed :z *sigh*

That's it for now...will update again maybe this weekend!

inspiration

Hello!

Ive just realised im really hungry...oo...one second!

..............................................................................................................................

Right, im back with some food.
TO THE BLOGGING!

Last Sunday I met up with Caryn, Nij and Floz to practise for our Para Para performance at the upcoming Japanese Art Festival next month! We'll be performing on both days as well as teaching two different routines (one for each day) so it should be really awesome! With regards to the routine, ive done it before at Roppongi Street last summer with Lucie (who I hope is okay after what happened on holiday!!) but it was kind of disaster as I didn't have time to learn the whole dance properly so I forgot parts while we performed lol...but thats done now! Hopefully I can get someone to record the thing and then put it up here for you all to see! On Sunday, me Caryn and Nij practised for about 3.5 solid hours and then Floz turned up and we practised for another 2, and the next day my arms and legs KILLED! But we have it down! So its all good :)

Unfortunately I had to cancel the photoshoot I was due to have on Monday because of an unexpected illness and I was bed ridden! I couldn't even walk to my bedroom door or roll to my side in bed! It sucked so bad. And of course there was no way id be able to make an hour journey to the studio and an hour journey back PLUS pose etc for a good 4-5 hours! It was so short notice too; I think the photographer was really mad but what can I do? Usually I would have just pushed myself and gone and done what needed to be done, but I couldn't WALK so it was the only choice I had! The next day I was a bit better, I was mobile, but I didn't leave the house just in case I got stuck somewhere haha. I don't think he'll be messaging me back anytime soon....ah well

BEFORE I bore you all to death, I have a TREAT for you all!
Shaka posted about egg's Beauty Summer 2010 which came free in egg August 2010. He asked me if I would scan it and this afternoon/early evening (I know, im terribly precise) ive done just that! Ill be posting it on http://community.livejournal.com/gal_style/ and probably jmagazinescans@lj, but ill post it here FIRST as im nice like that : D!

egg's Beauty Summer 2010

When I spoke to Nij on the phone the other day, we were talking about Japan and what we were going to bring etc and what we were going to do with our hair (its a very important decision you know!) and he broke the news to me that we only have 9 weeks left until we go. 9 WEEKS?!!!!! IM NOT READY YET THOUGH!! I need to save more money, and think about what I need to bring and ah ah ah! Jeez! With regards to my hair, I want to go pink, like ive mentioned in a couple of blog posts away, remember when I was getting my hair done and at the last minute I wanted my hair pink but went against it? Well, I think ill just go for it this time. I was wanting to go pink straightaway and my hairdresser seemed damn excited but ive realised the better decision for both my purse and my hair itself would be to get my hair done as usual (root touch up and toner done so its white/silverish) and the day before I go away, im going to get the pink done! Ill get it done in the early morning and then I have the rest of the day to pack and get stuff sorted : D

Now, for the pink itself, here are a couple of options I have:

faded light pink

magenta/fuchsia pink

cherry pink

So far, the colour/style I like the most is:

I wouldn't have to dye all of my hair, so it would be cool, but it would fade out pretty quickly, but it would be fun to try! Ill have my *new* extensions before I go so ill just take them to the salon to get a few dyed also just so I can mix it well~

I need something that will match well with banba and manba (I haven't done it in ages but I want to be classy extreme when im there which will be fun) so : D fingers crossed!

One last thing before I go, Kyon, old AngeleeK member, is 9 months pregnant next week!

Ciao!

musicmusicmusic

Hello!

Ive come to tell you about the Music Video I did! And also to bring you the *NEW* mini album by egg favourites, Aina and Yumachi!

I might as well tell you as to how I got the job in the first place; Max (who used to do the Roppongi Street clubnights in LDN) got a message from a production company who were looking for different styles of dances that aren't really seen, or haven't been seen here yet and somehow, they found Para Para, and wanted Max to appear in the video. Unfortunately, Max is currently living in Japan, but passed my name onto the team instead.... And then came the QUICK process that landed me the role! So, big thanks to Max for helping me out on this one, especially since I thought he was funny with me when he moved to JP :3

Sunday
I got a wall post from Max, and then a message on Facebook from the team telling me that they were after a Paralist and that they got my name from Max! I gave them a call rather than relying on email, and went in for a casting 2 hours later. They videoed me doing some freestyle para to the artist's song (which was SO difficult as the song is a lot slower than para!) and then sent that to the Record Label to see if they would approve me, which they were hoping for as they said they really liked the stuff I did, so it was all fingers crossed~!

Monday
I had a wardrobe fitting booked at the same place, even though I hadn't yet been approved by the label, as they hadn't got in touch with the production company. 1 hour before coming in for the fitting, I got a call to say that I had definitely been approved, which was awesome! I brought along some stuff, like my sailor fuku and they fitted me with a fuku-like outfit from their own wardrobe. The filming was the next day, but because I was at work, "special allowances" were made for me lol...

Tuesday
I arrived at the studio at 3PM straight from work, even though the dancers (there were 6 of us in all) were supposed to arrive at 12PM to get hair and makeup started. They told me I would probably be shot last, and I was worried that everyone was waiting on me, but luckily nothing had been filmed, so the dancers had been sitting around for a while just practising and chatting so I settled in and got my hair and makeup done, as well as get changed

Damn quick! The other dancers all had styles I had never really seen, apart from one guy who did Locking. The original style of the video was supposed to be like a Japanese TV show but they changed it to a disco themed talent show instead, but me and another person's dances didn't fit because the overall theme was the "70s" and our styles were 80s, 90s and 10s! so.... I actually felt pretty much an outcast because the other people (ranging in ages 17-31) are all professional dancers. 2 of them went, and one still goes, to bloody Pineapple Dance Studios... YEAH!

They were all talking in dance lingo and I was like "riiiight then..." and then they asked me where I trained to do my dance and I said "er....I learnt it off the internet actually" and their faces just dropped. Maaaan. I was some sad para kid and these guys were really dead serious! I mean, don't get me wrong, im serious about Para, but doing gis like music videos and commercials and stuff is THEIR LIFE. wth! and they get paid (or so they were saying) PROPER good money! Yet, they pass it off as if its nothing...spoiiilt. One of them did the McDonald's World Cup UK advert and was in it for a few seconds and got paid (so he said) £8fuckingthousand.

WHAT THE HELL

Now, I don't know if thats really true but he seemed dead serious, as did the others. And what was scary was that they kept saying "you're one of US now, you're part of our little group!" and "when you get an agent you'll be working all the time! maybe with us too!"....don't get me wrong, they are nice guys, but who wants to sign someone who does crazy brown (i.e.manba and/or banba) and para para to an agent??? apart from that, the shooting went well! they wanted me to make a routine, so I made up soemthing that wasn't a complete avex or etc routine, with lots of hearts (they asked me to!) and when I did the hearts the WHOLE room went "AWWWWWWWWWWWWW OMG!!! SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"...lol!

We finished at 10pm and I got back at midnight...ugh....im DAMN tired.

I don't want to put up lots of videos because I don't want to get into trouble, but the video comes out in 2 weeks so : )

AND NOW for Yuma and Aina!
I preordered the Limited Edition version of the mini album, which is called QUEEN:

And I not only got the album, but I also got a LAGGY towel and hair scrunchie! LAGGY is the clothing line that the girls have come up with, but its pronounced really weird! You'd think it would be "LA-GEE" but they say it as "LA-GU-JI" ....huh? lol! I know its for the Japanese translation or whatever but there could have been a better way around it, like ラーギー or something. nevermind!

(not this yellowy - it was bad lighting, very sunny!)

(a cute sticker I got!)

My towel and scrunchie!

Ive uploaded the album onto Gal_Style at lj for all of you to enjoy~(once its approved)

Ciao!

news baby

HELLO EVERYONE!

Staying true to the short "blog" today, heres an update of my wonderful, boring life! (And im not going to make this blog really like, wordy, like they always are, my bloody life story)

FLIGHTS TO JAPAN ARE OFFICIALLY BOOKED TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------

Living TV (women's channel in the UK) has been airing all the old seasons of America's Next Top Model right from the beginning so ive been watching those. I used to watch it religiously but stopped watching the series with Jaslene (can't remember number) halfway through (I know who wins anyway but still) so its been good to catch up! I guess its because a new, well, I say "new" but its always old by the time it
hits us after showing in the US, cycle is coming on the screen soon! Another Britain's Next Top Model is airing on July 5th...what a flop that is. Im sorry but its just not that good! I caught the finale of Australia's Next Top Model and its odd! The public vote for the winner, as do the judges :z they don't look back at all their old stuff, they just say how well they thought a certain girl did in the competition and how much they like them and they get a point, and then the public cast a vote and whoever gets the most points, wins :z I don't know...whatever lol

I haven't had anymore Spike dreams...come on James Marsters! Where are you in my head?? lol! I watched an interview with him from like, last summer, and I didn't know he was in the Dragonball Z movie! He also looks damn old....ill be the Bunny to his Hugh Hefner! LOL. While I haven't been dreaming of James Marsters or watching ANTM, ive been working and meeting up with the Gal Circle! Saturday just gone we went to a theme park, Chessington World of Adventures. Think of it as a tamer, closer and smaller Thorpe Park. Noone wanted to go on big or scary rides so it was perfect for us to go to! I used to go a lot as a kid and stuff, and my NHS trust (there are all different ones around the country) used to hire out the whole park (for 7,000 people) and my Dad would get tickets for £5 each. Baaaaaaargain. And it was cooler because it was open at nighttime, and didn't close at stupid o'clock (5PM ...) For those of you that haven't got the delightful social networking site that is Facebook, or haven't got me as a friend, here are a couple of photos, and ill upload some videos later:

And my make up (which I was really proud of ! but the photo doesn't show well : D )

The week before, my girl Floz had a BBQ which was class! I only have a few photos from this, mainly of the claaaaassy corner shop which sold all sorts of random jelly toys, and some videos....

In other news that I mentioned in the mini post today, im going to be in a music video! I know I spoke a looong time ago about a guy wanting me to do Para Para for an American artist, but that kind of fell through. This is for a proper production company and band! The artists are called The Count & Sinden and the track is featuring the popular UK Indie band, The Mystery Jets, so its looking good! The clothes ill be wearing are..interesting lol, but thats show business as my boyfriend said lol. Oh, ill be doing Para Para for the video, along with 5 other young dancers doing alternative styles of dancing. Ive heard there is something similar to Vogueing so that will be really interesting! Watch Benny Ninja go! He's so flexible and fabulous!

and last but not least...ive been going back to old school music!

Such a class song! even if the styling isn't amazing, but check out the class dancing too!

OUT!
